In 2017, Ali Wise, along with Lauren Santo Domingo, Sarah Howard, and Nicky Hilton Rothschild, attended Arden Wohl and Jonah Freeman’s wedding in Brooklyn, New York City. Zac Posen designed a custom gown for her dreamy ceremony.

Arden met Jonah through a friend in May of 2014 and he eventually proposed in the winter of 2016. Arden had her sights set on a summer wedding in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. She asked Zac Posen to design her dress, having known him since she was a teenager. Posen took inspiration from Art Nouveau and created a beautiful gown with hand-embroidered flowers and a French silk veil. Posen says of the experience, “There’s something very special about making a close friend’s wedding fantasy come to life.”

The ceremony included a cosmic energy-themed ceremony and a performance by members of indie rock band MGMT and New Zealand musician Connan Mockasin. Arden says of her wedding, “Just such good vibes…It was a psychedelic experience.” The reception hall was adorned with beautiful bouquets and plenty of seating. Arden bridesmaids also fit the whimsical scene with flower-patterned dresses and flowers in their hair.

Arden Wohl is a poet, artist, fashion designer, and animal rights activist. Her work can be seen in Live Mag, The Hole, No. 8, La MaMa, Recess, and 56 Henry. She is an NYU Tish alumni with a degree in film and television studies. She has shared short films in connection with The Art Production Fund. Arden is a board member of GEMS and a junior board member of Tibet House. Arden and her husband currently live in New York City.
